Welcome!!!

"Jack of all trades; master of none. Often times better than a master of one!"

Hi there! Welcome to our little home on the interwebs! We're jazzed you decided to stop by, and we truly hope that we become a regular part of your blog viewing schedule!

Triple Threat Creatives came about as the brain child of two creative ladies without a solid creative focus. The creative gurus, the pros, the guidebooks, the rules, the infamous "they," all of them tell you one very important thing. Find your niche. Focus. Pick something you're good at and focus on that one thing.

They also all tell us to go ahead and break the rules. We're the rule-breakers. We're simply haven't been able to focus on a single creative skill. We love too many different things to pick one. Isn't that what's so great about the creative community? We all have so many different, amazing skills. Why choose?

Most people will associate a Triple Threat with the theater world. Stage performers able to sing, dance, and act well were often called "triple threats." They were the total package. The creative world isn't any different! We just have a much bigger pool of skills to draw from. And you don't have to be an ace at all of them to perform at a higher level. Artists of all types can benefit greatly from picking up some new skills in something they may have thought to be completely unrelated to their field. The sculptor who learns to sew can now create art dolls. The book binder who learns collage suddenly increases her product line ten-fold. The seamstress who learns color theory will find herself producing quilts and garments that are works of art. The painter who picks up a sewing class, or a sculpting class, or a collage class is suddenly a mixed media master mind.

So don't be afraid to expand your horizons and think out of the box. Learning new skills will also increase your creativity and ability to conceptualize ideas that nobody else has thought of. So weather you're like us and simply have too many hobbies to keep track of, or you're looking to add some new skills to your line-up, welcome the winds of change and step into somebody else's shoes for a bit. You may just find yourself becoming a Triple Threat!
